Fat or
Obese?

Let's not distinguish fat people from obese people! With the term fatness we associate healthiness, while with obesity we associate sickness. Realistically, the healthy fat person can also be seen as sick, since the fatness will have pathological signs and symptoms before long. It is much easier to influence fatness early on when there does not seem to be any hints of problems.

Obese persons are prone to multiple diseases: diabetes, circulatory inadequacies, liver failure. Outside of these, being overweight can make common ailments even worse: arteriosclerosis, coronary disease, heart stasis, varicose veins in lower limbs, respiratory difficulties, etc. Unfortunately we have to mention that the life expectancy for obese persons is less than that of persons with normal weight or those who are skinny. According to statistics, accidents occur more frequently to overweight persons.

Frequently, endocrine disease is said to be responsible for obesity, perhaps faultily, since endocrine disorders rarely actually lead to obesity. In the case of Cushing syndrome (disorder in the adrenal gland), hypothyreosis (deficient function of the thyroid), and a few other disorders obesity can develop, but these disorders have many other noticeable symptoms.

The general type of fatness due to simply a large intake of food or a lack of movement or exercise (seated activities, sicknesses that require much lying, using a car instead of walking, extensive eating, fatty foods, emotional agony, etc) is often accompanied by other reasons as well.
Most commonly obesity is caused by cerebral enlargement, in which there is a disorder in the brain's regulation between appetite and fat storage. This materializes most of the time as getting fat physically, and less as a disorder in the nervous system (encephalitis, tumor). This type of obesity occurs throughout the body but especially in the areas of the chest, stomach, behind, thighs, upper arm, and the face. (Note that in Cushing syndrome the behind, thighs, and upper arms all stay thin!)

The real source of obesity is much more complex, the development of appetite, eating habits, the quality of food eaten, average daily energy usage, and the mobilization of fatty tissues, all play equal parts in its development. In the United State , there are over 5 million adults whose body weight is 20% greater than the ideal weight. If someone eats just 50 calories (5 potato chips, or 1.1 dl cola) more than how much they need daily, then in 10 years their weight will increase by 22 Kg! In Hungary every third person is overweight (including children)!

The success of the different types of diets depends on the type and reasons for the obesity. In so-called exogenous obesity - which is due to increasing food intake or lack of exercise - some diets are extremely effective.

With cerebral obesity, after losing the weight with great difficulty and quitting the diet, unfortunately the weight will all quickly be regained, and thus a calorie deprived diet needs to be followed throughout one's life.

A diet should be conformed to the individual's age, sex, and energy need, but it is also suitable if independent of any factors, the food intake is reduced to about 1000 calories daily. A diet of even lower daily calorie intake can also be adaptable all the way to a null-diet, but these should be practiced under doctor's supervision. It is also effective to hold one or two days in the week when you have just fruits and liquids all day.

Cellulite

Cellulite is a specific form of the fat under the skin in which not yet neutralized toxins and roughage hide in. In this build up of roughage called cellulite tiny bits of water, fat, and toxins cluster together, and these are extremely difficult to get rid of.

The formation of cellulite is avoidable, and some already formed cellulite can be reduced by eating meals containing 75% raw vegetable or fruit products (i.e. oranges, grapefruit, beet juice, blue algae, celery, etc).

Cellulite can be treated externally through massage, and lymph massage. This results in improvement of lymphatic circulation as well as a decrease in the clusters of toxins in the fat under the skin.
